Welcome to Othello's site about the town of Famagusta
Hello and welcome
This site is about the town of Famagusta on the East coast of the Republic of Cyprus.
A thriving medieval harbour city in the Eastern Mediterranean, a long siege, rapid economic development and an abrupt end in 1974 are the main landmarks in the town's history through time.
At present, the people of Famagusta continue living in exile while waiting for their long overdue return.
